It is most likely that I am one of the few people to have read this book who has never read any kind of self-help book before now.

From the outset every time I picked up Master Your Own Destiny unexplainably my heart would race and I had palpitations, and very quickly I became aware that I was holding and reading something that was about to change my life, much in the same way as was written about by the author, Sheila Steptoe and the changes spirituality has made to her life.

I confess I don’t regularly meditate and really only experienced visualisations a year ago when I underwent hypnotherapy and that enabled me to follow some of Sheila’s advice in this book and really look at where my life is going and what I want from it.

For sometime I have felt lost, I’ve always set myself goals; mountains to climb even, and always had a strong determination to succeed but over the last few years things haven’t gone so well and I began to question everything that has happened and ask where and why it had all gone wrong. But, with the help of the hypnotherapy and more so Master Your Own Destiny I have been able to see my future is bright. It may not be quite what I was expecting to see but through my minds’ eye and a number of visualisations I can see my life is about to change and everything I have worked for and strived for is within reach.

Master Your Own Destiny was placed in my hands at a particularly low and perhaps vulnerable moment and was just the tonic I needed to help me see that life ahead is good. I have tried to follow Sheila’s excellent guidance and exercises and although I don’t meditate daily as suggested, there have been a number of times since reading the book that I have visualised something about what I was asking, and it surprises me still when this happens but I am sure Sheila and others who believe in this wholeheartedly will see no surprise in it at all.

And that’s the key. You really do have to ask the Universe a question or ask for what you want and you have to follow Sheila’s advice and like me I am sure, if nothing else, you will feel more positive about yourself, your situation and your future.
